About
Mateusz Wrzaskowski
Hi, I'm Mateusz, Computer Science student at Poznań University of Technology, currently finishing 6th semester.
I care less about which stack I am working with and more about solving problems. So far that's meant building simulation environments and developing visual perception and path-following algorithms for an autonomous boat at the PUT POWERTRAIN science circle - using ROS2, Docker, and Python.
I'm open to internships in most directions of software.
Outside of tech, I enjoy gym, chess and reading. I also play a LOT of piano. Especially pieces that are way above my level.
Experience

PUT POWERTRAIN
October 2025 - Present
- Designed a modular, easily scalable boat simulator. This allowed us to figure out what algorithms will work best on live boat
- Worked extensively with ROS2, Docker, Python and Bash across the project
- Implemented and compared 3D multi-object tracking methods: SORT3D, DeepSORT, ByteTrack3D
- Collected real-world datasets from on-water trials, built the collection scripts and RViz-based replay tooling
- Followed a full team workflow: Git branching, pull requests, CI via GitHub Actions, project boards, and task tracking
